Job Overview
The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of goods within our warehouse. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our supply chain operates smoothly and that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Verify and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damages, and discrepancies against packing lists.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated storage areas to ensure optimal warehouse flow and accessibility.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to update inventory counts and track stock movement accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by strictly adhering to all OSHA safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to ensure timely processing of orders and timely shipment preparation.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus but not always required.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklift) is required, or willingness to become certified.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate warehouse floors.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse software systems (RF Scanners).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety standards.
