Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipping while maintaining strict inventory accuracy records.
- Load/Unload Operations: Safely load and unload trailers and shipping containers using proper rigging techniques and equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies; conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Communication: Coordinate with day shift staff and management to ensure a smooth handover of operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10 or 30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and work in a climate-controlled environment.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class B or C) is a plus.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
