Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate cycle counts and stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy within the warehouse management system.
- Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load and unload inbound and outbound freight, ensuring proper documentation and securing loads for transport.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Area Maintenance: Keep the assigned work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies or quality issues to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Shift Handovers: Participate in daily shift briefings and handover meetings to communicate progress and any urgent issues.
Qualifications
- Licensed Operator: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) and recent experience operating powered industrial trucks.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and navigate warehouse environments in varying temperatures.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a focus on accuracy and safety.
- Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with RF scanners, handheld computers, and warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
