Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and ensure accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and maintaining organized storage zones.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections, and report any hazards immediately.
- Packaging & Shipping: Prepare products for shipment, ensuring they are securely strapped and labeled according to customer specifications.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area to prevent accidents and improve workflow efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and shift supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical labor in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and equipment handling.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable mode of transportation and a consistent work history.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
