Responsibilities
- Pack products into boxes, cartons, or crates according to weight and size specifications to prevent damage during shipping.
- Apply appropriate labels, barcodes, and shipping documentation to all outbound packages.
- Inspect products for defects or damage before packing to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Operate handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and order statuses.
- Collaborate with the picking team to ensure a seamless workflow from receiving to dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Load finished orders onto pallets or conveyor belts for transport to the loading dock.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for weighing packages and calculating shipping costs.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions if applicable (e.g., dock doors).
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
