Responsibilities
- Pick and Pack Orders: Accurately select items from the warehouse shelves and package them securely using the appropriate materials.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect items for defects or damage before packing to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Labeling: Apply shipping labels, barcodes, and documentation correctly to all packages.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies immediately.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the packing station and surrounding aisles clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize handheld scanners, computers, and other warehouse equipment to process orders efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the shipping team and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail stocking is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Must be comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new warehouse management software quickly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to minimize shipping errors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to adhere to a consistent work schedule.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills.
