Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment for any mechanical issues before starting shifts and report any defects immediately.
- Organize inventory in designated storage areas to ensure maximum space utilization and easy retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all 5S workplace organization standards.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including packing, labeling, and shipping orders when needed.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse managers regarding inventory levels and safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFO) or valid forklift license is required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to operate warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Reliable transportation to and from the Boston location.
