Responsibilities
- Safe Material Handling: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials efficiently and accurately throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in scanning, labeling, and organizing inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and order fulfillment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine visual inspections of machinery and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Securely stack and organize pallets to prevent damage during transit and storage.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Order Picking: Retrieve items from storage racks and prepare them for shipping or transfer to other departments.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; comfortable working in varying temperatures.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating heavy machinery.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or nights as required by business needs.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
