Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive and operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trailers.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, tag, and place stock in designated storage areas to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment, and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Material Handling: Wrap, band, and secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing the warehouse floor.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs and inventory reports, with 100% accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain high accuracy standards.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for warehouse access and vehicle operation.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic for inventory counting and shipping calculations.
