Responsibilities
- Select and verify merchandise based on customer orders using handheld scanners or pick lists with high accuracy.
- Package items securely in boxes, crates, or bags to ensure safe transit, applying proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the staging of materials and recycling of packaging waste.
- Operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and meet daily shipping targets and quotas.
- Perform quality control checks on outgoing orders to minimize returns and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using handheld scanning devices.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Reliable transportation to and from the San Diego facility.
- Ability to work in various temperature conditions and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
