Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including carrier selection, documentation, and customs clearance
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate contracts to reduce transportation costs by 15%
- Manage inventory control systems to maintain 99.5% shipping accuracy
- Collaborate with sales and warehouse teams to resolve delivery delays and customer inquiries
- Analyze shipping data using TMS platforms to identify process improvements
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
- Maintain relationships with 15+ carrier partners to secure priority service
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in shipping coordination or logistics management
- Proficiency in TMS software (Manhattan, Oracle, or SAP preferred)
- OSHA and hazardous materials certification
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost-benefit analysis
- Excellent verbal/written communication and negotiation abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of reducing shipping costs while improving delivery times
