Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier negotiations
- Optimize freight routes and costs using TMS software while maintaining 99% on-time delivery rate
- Manage inventory levels and warehouse receiving/distribution processes
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international partners
- Analyze shipping data to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and international trade regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in shipping/logistics coordination with import/export focus
- Proficiency in TMS systems (Descartes, Blue Yonder) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and hazardous materials handling
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to resolve shipment delays
- Relevant certification (CSCP, CLTD) or equivalent experience preferred
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in logistics/supply chain preferred
