Join our dynamic logistics team as a Senior Shipping Coordinator and become the backbone of our global supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you'll orchestrate seamless domestic and international shipments while optimizing cost-efficiency and delivery timelines. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional with proven expertise in freight management, customs compliance, and carrier negotiations to drive our operational excellence forward.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes including documentation, carrier selection, and route optimization
- Manage customs brokerage and ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Monitor shipment tracking proactively and resolve delivery delays with urgency
- Negotiate contracts with freight carriers and 3PL partners to secure favorable rates
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate loading and timely dispatch
- Implement process improvements using TMS/WMS systems to enhance efficiency
- Prepare monthly shipping reports with KPIs and cost analysis
- Act as primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status and inquiries
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping coordination
- Proficiency in customs regulations (HTSUS, NAFTA, etc.) and Incoterms 2020
- Expertise in TMS/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder preferred)
- Certified Customs Broker (CBP) or CSCP designation strongly preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with high-pressure situations
- Advanced Excel skills with data visualization capabilities
- Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
