Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Monitor shipment status using tracking systems and resolve delays or logistical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities in our logistics management software.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize company expenses.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, DOT requirements, and Incoterms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and familiarity with logistics software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business or Logistics preferred.
