Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and process accurate shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Track shipments using transportation management systems and resolve any delays or logistical issues.
- Maintain and update accurate inventory records and warehouse databases.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Assist in the physical loading and unloading of cargo when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination role.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and hazardous material handling is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
