Responsibilities
- Process and verify shipping orders, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation for dispatch.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and third-party logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, bills of lading, and inventory levels using our ERP system.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and troubleshoot delays to ensure on-time arrival of goods.
- Prepare and manage necessary shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and customs forms.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize loading procedures and space utilization.
- Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to ensure budget compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in documentation or data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
