Responsibilities
- Coordinate Shipments: Manage the full lifecycle of shipping operations, including scheduling pickups and deliveries, preparing bills of lading, and tracking freight status in real-time.
- Documentation: Ensure all shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) are accurate, complete, and compliant with international and domestic regulations.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and carriers, providing timely updates on shipment status and resolving any logistical issues efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory and reconcile discrepancies with warehouse staff.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in shipping workflows and suggest solutions to reduce costs and transit times.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of managing complex schedules and documentation.
- Software Proficiency: Comfortable using transportation management systems (TMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and vendors.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and troubleshoot logistical challenges under tight deadlines.
