Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities across multiple carriers and distribution channels
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation including bills of lading, customs forms, and tracking records
- Optimize freight routing and negotiate carrier rates to reduce transportation costs
- Monitor shipment statuses and proactively resolve transit delays or exceptions
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate packing and labeling of goods
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
- Analyze shipping metrics and implement process improvements for efficiency
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or freight management
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of domestic/international shipping regulations and documentation
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal/written communication abilities for stakeholder interactions
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
