Responsibilities
- Manage Logistics Operations: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery and meet customer expectations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and verify all shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork to ensure 100% compliance.
- Carrier Relations: Negotiate rates and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers.
- Inventory Coordination: Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the warehouse team to prevent stockouts and optimize storage.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve shipping delays, damages, or discrepancies immediately to minimize downtime.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records in the company’s logistics software and generate performance reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Software Skills: Proficient in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with vendors, drivers, and internal teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage complex documentation and ensure accuracy in data entry.
- Time Management: Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
