Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and invoices.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Track shipments in real-time and update stakeholders on delivery status.
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate rates with carriers to reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
- Assist in inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
