Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end shipping process, including scheduling pickups, preparing bills of lading, and coordinating freight delivery.
- Track shipments in real-time and resolve any delays or discrepancies with carriers immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, manifests, and inventory movements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (warehouse, sales, and customer service) regarding shipment status and deadlines.
- Ensure all shipping documentation complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in the optimization of shipping routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficient experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and basic MS Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods as needed.
