Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily coordination of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and inventory movements in the ERP system.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Monitor shipping schedules and alert management of potential delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficient in using logistics software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of shipping terms, incoterms, and freight forwarding processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
