Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve any delays or logistical issues with carriers.
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, inventory levels, and delivery status in the ERP system.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to streamline loading and unloading procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
