Job Summary:
We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to perform critical material handling tasks within our distribution center. In this role, you will ensure the smooth flow of inventory, maintain safety standards, and contribute to the efficiency of our Sacramento operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and maneuver forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load, unload, and move products.
- Inventory Management: Verify and inspect stock to ensure accuracy and adhere to inventory control procedures.
- Load and Unload Goods: Efficiently handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and placement.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on machinery and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Space Optimization: Organize storage areas efficiently to maximize warehouse capacity and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience in warehouse operations and material handling.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety checks.
- Reliability: Excellent attendance record and commitment to punctuality.
- Communication: Basic ability to read and understand work instructions and communicate with team leads.
