Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate inventory counts and ensure proper stock placement in designated storage areas.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to streamline operations and meet daily production targets.
- Freight Handling: Secure loads properly and ensure pallets are stacked correctly to prevent damage and accidents.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
