As a Material Handler, you will ensure the efficient flow of goods, maintain accurate inventory records, and uphold the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials and products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and packing lists to ensure accuracy.
- Organize stockrooms, warehouses, and yards to ensure efficient inventory management.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed during all operations.
- Prepare items for shipment, including proper labeling, packaging, and sealing.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain high productivity and workflow efficiency.
- Perform regular quality checks on inventory to prevent damage or loss.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to obtain or hold a valid forklift certification (training provided).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate handheld scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
