Responsibilities
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload freight trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Temperature Control: Monitor and maintain strict temperature controls within the cold storage environment to preserve product integrity.
- Picking & Packing: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment while adhering to quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts, stock checks, and organizing storage areas to maintain accurate records.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic inspection and maintenance of warehouse equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Cold Exposure: Ability to work in extreme cold environments (typically below 35°F) for extended shifts.
- Physical Stamina: Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for long periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics setting is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and data entry.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
