Responsibilities
- Pick and Pack Orders: Accurately select products from shelves and prepare them for shipment using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects before packing to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and organizing stock areas to optimize workflow.
- Palletizing: Safely stack and secure products on pallets using appropriate wrapping and strapping techniques.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts (after certification) or pallet jacks as required to move materials efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workspace.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to daily tasks and inventory transfers.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting and verifying items to minimize errors.
- Reliability: Punctual with a history of consistent attendance and professional work ethic.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from team leaders and supervisors.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred; on-the-job training is provided for qualified candidates.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills or willingness to learn warehouse scanning software.
