Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick items from the warehouse floor and prepare them for shipment using packing materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are up to date.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on pallet jacks and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a safe workplace.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- RF Scanner Operation: Utilize handheld scanners to track inventory and process orders efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus, but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for counting and weighing items.
