Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload freight onto and off of trucks and trailers using proper equipment.
- Inventory Management: Verify and count incoming stock and materials, identifying discrepancies, and rectifying errors.
- Equipment Operation: Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse to ensure efficient workflow and easy retrieval of goods.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily paperwork, including shipping manifests and inventory logs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Forklift Certification: Current forklift certification is a plus but we offer training for the right candidates.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus and maintain accuracy during high-volume operations.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if necessary.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
