Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight from trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Inventory Verification: Verify incoming and outgoing merchandise for accuracy, quantity, and condition before processing.
- Packaging: Package and prepare goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and secure strapping.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and quotas.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine pre-shift inspections.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Skills: Basic math skills for inventory counting and scanning; strong attention to detail.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Background: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
