Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Inventory Management: Assist in verifying the quantity and condition of incoming and outgoing stock against purchase orders.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including packing slips and inventory logs, to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse floor to facilitate efficient workflow and prevent accidents.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies immediately to the shift supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar industrial environment is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for some positions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain high accuracy standards during fast-paced operations.
- Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
