Responsibilities
- Safely Load and Unload: Manually load and unload trucks, trailers, and pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and document any discrepancies immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of all loading equipment and report any mechanical issues to supervisors.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Package Handling: Handle packages with care to ensure they arrive at their destination in perfect condition.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred but not strictly required for entry-level candidates.
- Documentation: Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- License: Valid driver's license is a plus, but not mandatory for all loader positions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols when handling freight.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
