Responsibilities
- Safe Handling: Safely load and unload freight trucks and shipping containers using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo is secured and protected.
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify incoming and outgoing inventory against shipping documents and perform cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Packaging & Labeling: Inspect products for damage, apply appropriate packaging materials, and ensure accurate labeling for distribution.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations, warehouse safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free warehouse floor to facilitate efficient workflow and reduce hazards.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and paperwork related to shipments and inventory movements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar role is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license (Class C) is preferred.
- Equipment Certification: Forklift Operator Certification (Class A/B/C) is a plus but we provide training.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documents.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
