Responsibilities
- Load and unload merchandise from trailers, trucks, and freight cars using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Verify shipment contents against bills of lading and ensure accuracy of orders.
- Tag and label packages for accurate routing and delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity targets and deadlines.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Basic computer literacy for logging data and using warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; prior warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
