Responsibilities
- Supervise 15+ staff members, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and inventory management systems
- Implement OSHA safety protocols and maintain regulatory compliance
- Optimize warehouse layouts for maximum efficiency and space utilization
- Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs
- Analyze operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with transportation and procurement teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- 5+ years warehouse management experience in cold storage or distribution
- OSHA 30-hour certification and forklift operation credentials
- Proficiency in WMS systems (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability
- Valid Alaska driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience with Alaska-specific logistics challenges (weather, remote locations)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
