The Role:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the warehouse staff. You will ensure the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of goods while maintaining a safe and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA standards) to maintain a zero-accident workplace and conduct regular safety audits.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock discrepancies, and implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and calibration of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and conveyor systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA) and Safety Certification required.
- Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills; proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, problem-solver, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
