Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory records through our ERP systems.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for all employees.
- Training: Conduct onboarding and safety training for new hires and ensure all team members are up-to-date on standard operating procedures.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and condition, reducing errors and returns.
- Problem Solving: Address operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior supervisory experience required. Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or manufacturing setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to lead by example; basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift; ability to work in various weather conditions if applicable.
- Availability: Must be flexible to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required by business needs.
