The Role
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily receiving, storage, and distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits, minimizing shrinkage and waste.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and safety checks of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize workflow and productivity.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Skills: Strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and computer applications (Excel, SAP, or Oracle).
- Attributes: Proven ability to lead teams under pressure, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
