Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping functions to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
- Manage and mentor a team of warehouse staff, conducting performance reviews, training new hires, and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies to minimize accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to reorder stock, utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for accuracy.
- Analyze operational metrics and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve shipping discrepancies with professionalism and speed.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers for outbound freight and manage dock operations efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Valid Forklift Certification and ability to operate various warehouse equipment (reach trucks, pallet jacks).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team effectively.
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) such as SAP, Manhattan, or Oracle.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
