Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a diverse team of warehouse associates, setting clear performance expectations.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and implement procedures to minimize loss and waste.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency and implement process improvements to streamline workflow.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and shelving units.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports regarding productivity, staff performance, and inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams effectively, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive work culture.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- certifications: Forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
