Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor warehouse staff to foster a positive, high-performance work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and maximize accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current operations and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and care of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and material handling systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Skills: Proven ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification is mandatory.
- Leadership: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate diverse teams.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
