Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct and supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders to ensure 100% accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and train warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance. Conduct regular performance evaluations and manage shift schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict OSHA safety protocols and company policies. Conduct daily safety audits and safety meetings to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to minimize shrinkage and optimize storage efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement strategic improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the routine maintenance and inspection of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse supervision, logistics, or inventory management.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues and make data-driven decisions.
