Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials within the cold storage facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Monitor and log temperature readings to ensure products are stored within safe regulatory limits.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, quantity accuracy, and proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management processes, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Operate computer systems to track inventory and generate picking tickets accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification provided upon hiring).
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods in cold conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
