Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely operate material handling equipment to load and unload goods from trucks and railcars.
- Monitor Temperatures: Regularly check and log storage temperatures to ensure strict compliance with food safety and pharmaceutical regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by scanning barcodes, picking orders, and organizing stock within the freezer and cooler sections.
- Packaging & Labeling: Properly package, label, and prepare items for shipment or distribution.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and report any facility hazards immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all warehouse areas.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly in a cold environment.
- Temperature Tolerance: Comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 40°F for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification is a plus (training provided if needed).
- Reliability: Must have a reliable form of transportation and a stable work history.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
