Job Overview
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our warehouse operates smoothly. You will be responsible for the accurate movement and storage of materials while maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Verify inventory counts and ensure accurate stock placement in designated storage areas.
- Perform routine safety checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily production and shipping targets.
- Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Prepare pallets and packages for shipping using shrink wrap and banding equipment.
- Assist in the receiving and organization of incoming shipments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification within the first 90 days of employment (training provided).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
