Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and other heavy machinery to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to and from customer sites.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Verify inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate logs of stock movements.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
- Stack and secure materials according to safety guidelines to prevent damage and accidents.
- Assist in the organization of the warehouse layout to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA 10 or 30 Forklift Certification is required.
- Proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, or similar equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and material handling best practices.
- Ability to read and comprehend labels, pick lists, and safety instructions.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
