Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and maneuver forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts to load, unload, and move products within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Conduct accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, and report any hazards immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment efficiently to meet daily production targets.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment clean and report mechanical issues to the maintenance supervisor promptly.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and coworkers to ensure a seamless workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify product counts and ensure accurate labeling.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable means of transportation and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for logging inventory and operating handheld scanners.
