Responsibilities
- Maintain Accurate Records: Monitor incoming and outgoing stock to ensure all data is logged accurately into the inventory management system (ERP).
- Conduct Cycle Counts: Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile physical stock with digital records and investigate discrepancies immediately.
- Stock Organization: Assist in the organization and storage of goods, ensuring proper labeling, FIFO (First-In, First-Out) protocols, and safety standards are met.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize barcode scanners, handheld devices, and warehouse management software (WMS) to track inventory movement efficiently.
- Receiving & Shipping Support: Collaborate with the receiving and shipping departments to verify shipments against packing slips and ensure timely processing.
- Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to provide management with real-time visibility into stock levels and trends.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl) is highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk throughout the warehouse environment.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well in a team setting.
