Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Operational Efficiency: Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow, reduce bottlenecks, and maximize productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace and conduct regular safety training sessions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems, reporting any issues immediately.
- Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet company standards before being shipped to clients.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading teams effectively and managing conflict in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions to team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies in inventory and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
